Sustainable Seafood Data Tool

Improving the sustainability of global seafood production requires a more accurate and deeper understanding of progress to date, and priority areas for improvement. The Collaboration's interactive data tool consolidates data from six global certification and ratings programs to provide NGOs and businesses a more comprehensive overview of seafood sustainability.

The latest version of the data tool, launched in the winter of 2021, includes data from the Global Seafood Alliance’s Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) program. This addition covers more than 2.1 million metric tons of global aquaculture production.

The new tool has undergone a complete redesign and includes functionality improvements which allows users to interact with each chart to filter the data. The updated tool now contains bar charts which illustrate performance of top countries and species as well as new filter options designed to enhance the utility of the tool.

We welcome feedback on the data tool as you explore the dynamic features and layout. If you have any questions or suggestions, please click the Questions & Feedback button on this page.
